What is complimentary support?
Complimentary support for Sling Media products provides telephone and chat support for basic setup, installation, assembly, and connectivity.
How much complimentary technical support do I get?
Sling Media provides complimentary support for initial installation and setup of Sling Media hardware products during the first 12 months of ownership. For a software product purchase, Sling Media provides 90 days of complimentary support.
If the software you contact us about was free, it is not covered under the complimentary support umbrella. However, if the associated Sling Media hardware is still under its complementary support period, we would help you as best we could.
How long is the hardware warranty for Sling Media hardware?
All Sling Media hardware products come with a 1-year hardware warranty (US) or 2-year hardware warranty (Europe).
If you contact technical support outside of your complimentary support and hardware warranty period, you must pay for a single support incident or have an extended care agreement (where available) in order to get help from our support experts. Extended care agreements are no longer being offered to new customers.
However, if we determine that the issue is a problem that is covered under your hardware warranty, we will process a full refund of the support incident purchase price at the same time we set up the hardware service.
If I am outside of complimentary support, what are my options?
If you are outside your complimentary support period and need help, almost everything you need to resolve most situations yourself is available for free on the Sling Media Support web site.
